IT´S PRONOUNCED SALIM

With a rebellious philosophy and a focus on sustainability and technology, SVLIM emerges as a brand with a unique lifestyle made up of avant-garde streetwear, androgynous aspects and extravagant details that reflect a cult luxury lifestyle, esotericism and the Berlin neo-bauhaus vibe.

  • FASHIONTECH

As a technology-oriented brand, we employ rapid prototyping, 3D modeling, immersive technologies, blockchain for tracking our garments, and NFTs as a foundation for intellectual property.

  • PERMACULTURE DESIGN

We embrace a concept akin to permaculture. It involves using materials, resources, and the creative process in a way that minimizes waste and mirrors the closed-loop systems found in nature. In this context, a closed-loop system aims to ensure that nothing is wasted, just as nature strives for efficiency and sustainability.

  • CIRCULAR ECONOMY

We collect 200-500 Kg of discarded materials every season. These materials are completely in good condition and were discarded for aesthetic criteria or design purposes. Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond collection; we upcycle these products, breathing new life into them, and giving them added value. For materials that cannot be repurposed, we partner with strategic allies to ensure responsible recycling practices, ensuring that nothing goes to waste in our pursuit of a more eco-friendly fashion industry.

A CIRCULAR STRATEGY FOR A CIRCULAR PHILOSOPHY

HIGH END UPCYCLING

THE BEAUTY OF IMPERFECTION.

We consider defects as akin to scars, each bearing a unique story. A significant portion of the materials we repurpose has been rejected or discarded due to quality issues, aesthetic details or perceived lack of utility. Through our design process, we elevate these materials, imbuing them with renewed value and a fresh narrative.

COMMUNITY PERIMETERS OF PRODUCTION

As a measure to decrease our carbon footprint, we use a 5 km strategy with our suppliers and collaborators.

Our offices are geographically planned to be no further than 5km from our strategic collaborators such as factories, donors, shipping services, suppliers, among others.

With this measure, we not only reduce our carbon footprint by 45%, but we also reduce our times and communication while respecting the internal processes of our collaborators.

WHY DOES THE WAIT WORTH IT?

As an upcycling brand, we produce with discarded materials and waste, presenting intricate design challenges. These challenges are effectively addressed through the application of Zero Waste pattern strategies in our production process

We generate as little waste as possible, so we only produce what is consumed, avoiding dead stock and sales. When you buy consciously, you get a unique, unrepeatable garment that is friendly to the circular economy and ethical work.

NO GARMENT SHOULD COST A HUMAN LIFE

Amidst the advent of mass production, fashion underwent a transformation that somewhat muted its expressive potential, ushering in a new era characterized by uniformity.

Our brand's philosophy seeks to challenge the existing consumer system and rekindle the anthropological and individualistic essence of fashion.

By reconnecting with its origins, we aim to restore the inherent value of fashion as a deeply human expression.

A NARRATIVE OF RESILIENCE CONVEYED THROUGH THE SYMBOLISM OF A SKULL.

In the majority of our designs, the Yuyus® serve as a prominent component, integral to our manifesto and a registered 3D trademark. These Yuyus® are meticulously crafted from recycled 316L Stainless Steel. Interestingly, despite stainless steel being considered one of the most recyclable materials, a striking 85% of stainless steel used in Mexico's jewelry industry is imported from China and is often not subjected to recycling, reworking, or proper disposal practices, ultimately becoming obsolete waste.

For nearly five years, we have been diligently collecting these metals, along with materials sourced from the construction industry to make the distinctive skull emblem that embodies our brand's identity.

Embellished with a diverse range of natural exotic fur and leather, which has been generously donated, salvaged from landfills, or sourced from design ateliers practicing responsible disposal, our donors adhere to the fur labeling act. This act certifies the origin of the fur and leather, ensuring it comes from ethical breeding practices without animal abuse.

We are conscious of the fact that these materials are no longer biodegradable due to their tanning process. This understanding drives our commitment to repurpose them, mitigating the potential for heightened contamination of land and water resources.

We expect to stop repurposing leather and fur for 2026
